How to Use the Henna Hair Pack
Choose the method based on your desired results:
For Hair Color
Brownish Color
- Soak the Henna Hair Pack in a hot strong tea decoction with 2 tbsp of lime juice for 1 cup of henna. Allow it to soak for about 24 hours in a glass, ceramic, or plastic container (DO NOT use an iron vessel).
- Mix 2 tbsp of indigo leaf powder with warm water, then add it to the henna paste immediately.
- Apply the mixture to unoiled hair and leave it on for at least 2-3 hours.
- Rinse thoroughly with water (no shampoo). Oil and shampoo your hair after 24 hours.
Black Color
- Soak the Henna Hair Pack in a hot strong tea decoction with 2 tbsp of lime juice for 1 cup of henna, just as described above. Let it soak for 24 hours in a glass, ceramic, or plastic container (DO NOT use an iron vessel).
- Apply the mixture to unoiled hair and leave it on for at least 2-3 hours.
- Rinse thoroughly with water (no shampoo).
- Follow up with indigo leaf powder on dry hair the same day or the following day. Oil and shampoo your hair after 24 hours.
For Hair Conditioning
- Mix the Henna Hair Pack with 1 tbsp of lime juice and curd or coconut milk to create a smooth paste.
- Apply the mixture to oiled hair and leave it on for about 30-35 minutes.
- Shampoo as normal, preferably with Earthy Sapo's natural shampoo bars.
