Method of Preparation

Aval Unda

1. Grind Aval to a fine powder.
2. Take 1 cup (200g) Aval powder, ½ cup (100g) Double Horse Jaggery powder, and 1 cup (200g) coconut scrapings.
3. Mix thoroughly until soft.
4. Shape into small balls and garnish with raisins or cashews.

Aval Vilayichathu

1. Boil 1 cup (200g) Double Horse Jaggery with 1 cup (200ml) water to make syrup (one-thread consistency).
2. Heat ghee in a kadai, roast chana dal and cashew nuts.
3. Add the strained jaggery syrup, 1 cup (200g) Aval, ½ cup (100g) coconut scrapings, and cardamom powder.
4. Mix thoroughly and serve once cooled.

Aval Muesli

1. Add fresh fruit pieces (apple, banana, cherry, etc.), cashew nuts, and raisins to Aval.
2. Pour in boiled milk and add sugar as desired.
3. Serve hot for a healthy breakfast or snack.
